somnimage Sound Series presents: A Night of Meditative Music
Local yoga teacher, Chelsea Heikes, also known as the artist “seah”, will start the evening with a 20 minute seated sound bath.
seah and Mykel Boyd play together in a duo called “post doom romance”. They will present pieces from their recent project “prairie transmissions”, a year long witnessing of our local environment. The sound pieces are made from field recordings taken in our local parks and are accompanied by electronic instruments and cello.
Joining them this evening is another duo, “water is the sun”, a collaboration between Indiana based sound artist Drekka and Timber Rattle.
